Nest of hope

I am known for getting a lot accomplished in a day. I am not always patient (usually not) when I have a task ahead of me and I am off track because I don't have the proper tools, or I have to tear down and start over.
While I was preparing the ‘TABLE’ area for guests, I decided to replace the seasonal wreath on the front door. As I picked up the wreath, a small wren suddenly flew out from behind it, surprising both of us equally.
I pulled the wreath from the door and carefully woven into the vines was a nest filled with beautiful little eggs. She found a place safe from the wind and storms, but not a shop owner focused on seasonal decor.
This little nest of eggs is much like life, it reminds us that not everything unfolds as planned. A storm can shatter the safest perch, an egg may never hatch, a shop owner may not be a fan of messy bird droppings and tear down the nest. Yet, the bird does not give up—she rebuilds, lays again, and sings still. There is resilience in her wings and faith in her flight.
Like her, we must learn that disruption does not mean defeat. Nature’s course may bend our plans, but it also shapes our strength.
By the way… the nest was left in-tact and the out of season wreath was hung back on the door with the most seasonal decor of all, a nest of hope.“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” — Matthew 6:26.
